Mesothelioma and asbestos

Asbestos is a compound of minerals which is present in nature naturally.This is subjected to various chemical proicesses before it is put to use for purposes like making roof shingles,cement,industrial products,gaskets,break linings ,textiles and flooring products.

Small free floating particles of asbestos in the air , released from asbestos factories and other manufacturing units, if inhaled , is hazardous. It may cause mesothelioma , cancer of the kidneys, cancer of larynx , and asbestosis.
