It was in 1929 that the first lawsuit ever was filed against asbestos.Since then, a huge number of lawsuits have been filed up every year as more and more people have come to realize about the dreaded cancers caused due to asbestos.The liability from these lawsuits has reached many billions of dollars every year.Most of the cases have reached at the bench of the United States Supreme Court.Surprisingly,no federal laws have been installed for cases regarding asbestos.!!!
